Dave Meyer: A Knight & A Hero

Often times, we hear people say; behind every successful man, there is a successful woman, but we hardly hear the opposite said that where you have a very successful woman, there is a successful man.

Dave Meyer, the beloved husband of Joyce Meyer to my mind fits into this mould. You will never see Joyce at any conference, meeting, event and not see Dave standing next to her, sitting across from her, traveling with her, encouraging her, lifting her up, helping her do this and do that.... That is the kind of husband Dave Meyer is!

It seem that when a woman finally birth her man out he would be so uplifted, so inspired and so ever ready & so on fire to help her birth out those dreams and visions that the Lord planted in her also. That is why the enemy fights so hard to destroy the institution of marriage. Satan knows that if the woman gets it right, if the husband gets it right, and they birth their children also into the same God given vision, it is certain that the gates of hell shall not prevail again their divine assignment.

The divine assignment & calling given to Dave & Joyce Mayer is the Joyce Meyer ministries. A very powerful ministry that is blessing women all over the world and touching lives in the farthest corners of the earth.

I personal admire Dave, because it takes a strong man to stand by his wife, follow her around, support her 100%, help her publicly and privately. The assignment requires a man who knows who he is in Christ and is not intimidated by working with/for his wife, in a women's ministry or feel short changed because he is not in constant limelight like his wife is. That to me is the measure of a real husband and real man of God.

Dave looks strong, appears strong, not given to public gabbing and is focused on helping God succeed in the mission entrusted unto their collective hands. Together they manage a $90 Million per year income generating mission calling for God with millions of supporters and donors backing their mission work and a staff larger than most medium size companies of the secular world. Their collective efforts sees so many Joyce Meyer books released year after year and scores of conference appearances all over the world.

Joyce speaks very publicly about the loving, caring, and patient nature of Dave Meyer. She has spoken about how well he had contributed to birthing Joyce out into the kind of woman that she is today. It is said that only your soul mate, your very true soul mate can go to hell and back with you and still be standing when it is all over. I have no doubt that Joyce Meyer found the right Adam & He found what the first Adam called; “...The flesh of my flesh and the bone of my bones..”[Genesis 2:23] When this happens, God is glorified and the institution of marriages gets to fulfil its original purpose, which is to bring about the kingdom come.

We pray that more men like Dave will rise up for such a time as this to help support and bring out women to their fullest potential, so that they may be empowered, released, encouraged, birthed out and then released to go and build God's kingdom.
